Harper's Bazaar Double Page-Spread

As you can view from the double page, The artist used obviously cares more about the artistic value of his work then the actually content. In our magazine, we want to show more content then the level of presentation. We would rather our content appriecated for its value and view, not how glamourous it is.

You have to remember that the magazine is aimed at people interested in music, so using pretty pictures is not going to win over fans of a element of communication which cannot be seen, so it cares more about what the music and artist is all about, rather than how attractive the are. We want to be known as having a magazine which tells of the latest events and going ons, rather then gossip over whos marrying who.

We may use a stylish approach on an occasional spread but we want to stick to basics for the time being.
