summary of magazine covers - NME, FHM, GQ

From looking at FHM, NME and GQ i have found:-

-They all have house styles

-All contain large image of a well known famus person on the from cover

-image surrounded by brief contents of magazine to the left

-famous names who are featured in the magazine are highlighted in a colour that stands out and is bold

-Offers on front page are not in every issue (our magazine will have a free cd with every issue this is our USP)

-smart looking magazines (FHM, GQ) but NME has a less smart and more casual look to it, this needs to be shown in our magazine as ours is about music, and so is NME.
